This scholarship is in memory of Kathy Clark Flamm, Henderson High Class of 1976.

Kathy graduated at the top of her class and was accepted at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Nursing.

She worked as an RN in Presbyterian-University of Pennsylvania Medical Center before returning to Penn to earn her Masters Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner. Her career as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care, and finally in elder care in a long term care facility, was her greatest passion. Kathy's commitment to her patients and pride in her profession was always evident, even while she was battling her own physical disabilities. She is a great role model for all future nurses!

This scholarship shall be awarded yearly to a graduating senior who meets the following criteria:

• Applying to a BSN Nursing Program

• GPA >3.0

• Demonstrates financial need

• Demonstrates the qualities of empathy, resilience in the face of hardship, and acceptance of diversity.

• Involvement in community or social services that help those less fortunate
